toi8 is a Japanese artist born on October 8, 1976, in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from Yoyogi Animation College and began his career in the anime industry before becoming a freelance illustrator. He is known for his work on various anime, including .hack//The Movie, Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. In the video game sector, he served as character designer for Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE and I am Setsuna. Additionally, toi8 has illustrated several light novels, such as My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer and Who Killed the Hero?. He has also contributed artwork to the Pokémon Trading Card Game, illustrating cards like Noctowl and Skarmory. His artistic contributions have been recognized in various art books, including The Recollection City and Girls Artwork. His wife, Tomomi Ozaki, is also a character designer.
