About
Toyste Beach (Japanese: トイストビーチ) is a game and video development studio based in Sapporo, Japan. It is not an individual illustrator but a studio that has contributed illustrations to the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), focusing primarily on Trainer cards while occasionally illustrating Pokémon cards. Their first contributions to the TCG included illustrations for Celebi‑EX, Keldeo‑EX, and Town Map in the Boundaries Crossed expansion. Toyste Beach has illustrated 207 cards overall in the TCG and has been working on Pokémon TCG illustrations since 2012, with at least 737 cards credited to them in its database. Notable examples of their work include the card 'Hero’s Cape' (#152/218) from the Temporal Forces set, released on March 22, 2024, and the EP‑Teiler card from the Battle Styles set, released on June 18, 2021. They have illustrated numerous Trainer cards across various sets, including Pokémon Catcher, Potion, Rare Candy, and many more.
