About
Satoma (さとま) is a Tokyo-based illustrator and animator known for their contributions to the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). They graduated from the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts and also serve as a part-time lecturer at Kyoto University of the Arts. Satoma gained recognition by participating in the Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest 2022, where their Cramorant illustration reached the quarterfinals. Their first officially published card was Dratini from the Obsidian Flames expansion. Since then, they have illustrated multiple official Pokémon cards, including Keldeo (Temporal Forces), Eevee (Twilight Masquerade), Celebi (Stellar Crown), and Lillie’s Determination from the Japanese Mega Brave set. One of their notable works is the Cresselia Illustration Rare from Shrouded Fable. Overall, Satoma has illustrated around 24 to 25 cards, with up to 55 variants across different languages and editions.
