About
booota (Japanese: ぶーた) is a freelance Japanese illustrator known for her contributions to the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). She began her career by illustrating the Japanese-exclusive SM-P Promotional cards Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix, which were released in 2017 as part of the Vulpix's Crystal Season Special Box. After an eight-year hiatus, she returned to the TCG with the illustration of Pikachu ex, designated as Special Illustration Rare #276, included in the 2025 Start Deck 100 Battle Collection. This marked her first illustration to appear in English-language releases. In addition to her work in the TCG, booota is also recognized for her illustrations in the light novel series Loner Life in Another World, which began publication in 2016 and has since been adapted into a manga and an anime series. As of April 2026, she has illustrated a total of eighteen volumes of the light novel series.
