About
Kiyotaka Oshiyama (押山清高) is a prominent animator, director, illustrator, and the president and CEO of Studio Durian. He is well-known for his contributions to the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), where he has illustrated approximately 30 distinct cards, including notable ones like Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX and Professor's Research featuring Professor Oak. His artistic style is characterized as quirky and bold, often incorporating vibrant colors and visual humor. Oshiyama's work has been recognized in various expansions of the TCG, including the Battle Styles and Silver Tempest sets. In addition to his work in the TCG, he directed the animated film Look Back, which premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June 2024 and was released theatrically in Japan shortly thereafter. The film has received critical acclaim for its emotional depth and artistic quality.
