About
Cona Nitanda is a Japanese illustrator born in Osaka. They began freelancing as an illustrator and animator in December 2021. Nitanda is known for their work on the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), having illustrated around 20 cards since their debut with the Special Illustration Rare 'Erika’s Invitation' from the Japanese 151 expansion. Their first English-released cards were Togekiss and Espeon from the Obsidian Flames expansion. Notable cards illustrated by Nitanda include Morpeko, Parasol Lady, Paldean Student, Solosis, Bianca’s Devotion, Flabébé, Floette, Florges, Friends in Paldea, and Sylveon ex. In addition to their TCG work, Nitanda contributed artwork for the 'Pokémon feat. Hatsune Miku Project VOLTAGE 18 Types/Songs' collaboration, titled 'Sparkle', and served as a character designer and animation director for the POKÉTOON animated series.
