okayamatakatoshi (おかやま たかとし) is a Kyoto-based freelance illustrator known for his contributions to the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). He graduated from Kyoto Seika University and began his career as a freelance illustrator after university. In 2013, he founded Data Creation Inc., where he serves as the representative director. His work includes illustrations for books, magazines, caricatures, and picture books. okayamatakatoshi's illustration style combines digital tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator with traditional mediums such as watercolor and colored pencils, resulting in a hand-painted look. He first contributed artwork to the digital Pokémon platform, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, with his debut card being a Promo-A Snorlax. He later illustrated physical cards for the Black Bolt expansion, including Venipede, Whirlipede, Scolipede, and Klang. Notably, he is recognized as the first TCG Pocket artist outside of PLANETA to transition to physical cards. His artistic style is described as soft and reminiscent of classic children's book illustrations.
