About
Yano Keiji (矢野 恵司) is a freelance illustrator born in 1988 in Kōchi Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, where he earned a degree in sculpture and completed graduate work in anatomical studies of art. Prior to his freelance career, he worked as a 3D designer at Nintendo from approximately 2013 to 2016. Yano began his freelance illustration career in 2017 and has since contributed artwork to the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). His first Pokémon TCG illustration was the card Comfey from the Crown Zenith expansion. He has illustrated a total of 11 unique cards, including reprints. Some of the notable cards he has illustrated include Omanyte from Scarlet & Violet 151 and various Ogerpon ex cards from the Twilight Masquerade expansion. Yano Keiji's work is recognized for its artistic quality and contribution to the Pokémon franchise.
