About
Scav is a Japanese illustrator born on February 22, 1981, in Shiga, Japan. He is known for his work in the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), where he has illustrated numerous cards under the professional name Scav, previously credited as tetsuya koizumi. Under his original name, he illustrated 61 cards, while as Scav, he has contributed to around 40 cards. His first credited card as Scav was the Full Art print of Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX from the Brilliant Stars expansion. He began contributing to the Pokémon TCG with the Brilliant Stars set and has illustrated cards for expansions including Lost Origin and Scarlet & Violet. Scav has also illustrated cards for the mobile game Pokémon TCG Pocket, with a total of 11 cards across 6 sets. He is recognized within the TCG community and participated in a Meet and Greet and autograph session at the 2026 Pokémon Europe International Championships.
