About
Sanosuke Sakuma (佐久間さのすけ) is an official and active illustrator for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). She began illustrating cards in 2013, with her first contributions appearing in the Shiny Collection release. Based in Kanagawa Prefecture, she was born on October 31, 1990. Sakuma primarily uses Adobe Photoshop for her digital illustrations. Her work includes hundreds of contributions to the Pokémon TCG, with sources noting she has illustrated 159 cards, plus an additional 31 cards for Pokémon TCG Pocket. Other sources list her contributions as totaling 192 cards, including reprints. She has also illustrated 35 cards across 13 sets for Pokémon TCG Pocket. In addition to her work on Pokémon, Sakuma has illustrated for other trading card games such as Force of Will, Cardfight!! Vanguard, and Digimon TCG. She has contributed to character design in Pokémon Sun and Moon and Sword and Shield, and has created merchandise artwork for Pokémon Center products.
