PLANETA Mochizuki, whose real name is Juukou Mochizuki (also spelled Kageyama Shota), is a renowned illustrator for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). They are credited for their artwork on various Pokémon TCG cards, with their first credit being for Gardevoir V from the Champion’s Path expansion. PLANETA Mochizuki is associated with the PLANETA design studio, a Japanese CG and illustration studio founded in 2011, which produces artwork for the Pokémon TCG and other media. The artist employs 3D modeling software to pose Pokémon and utilizes extensive post-processing in Photoshop, occasionally redrawing by hand for images that require special distortion. PLANETA Mochizuki has illustrated a significant number of cards, with 195 cards attributed to them according to The Art of Pokémon. Additionally, they have illustrated at least 26 cards for the Pokémon TCG Pocket, starting with the Genetic Apex set.
