About
Naoyo Kimura (Japanese: 木村直代) is an illustrator for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Her earliest contributions include artwork for Seel, Zapdos, and Graveler in the Japanese Expansion Sheet Series 2. Her first English-print commissions include promo cards for Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres released alongside The Power of One. Kimura has illustrated between 262 to 275 cards, including contributions to the Neo Series and the Southern Islands promotional set. She has also worked on Pokémon TCG Pocket, illustrating 40 cards across 14 sets. Beyond card art, she illustrated the Pokémon Tales picture book Come Out, Squirtle! and contributed to the 2023 Pokémon x Van Gogh art collaboration, producing artworks inspired by Van Gogh’s Self-Portrait with Grey Felt Hat and Wheatfield with Crows. Kimura has no known social media accounts.
