About
Midori Harada (原田みどり Harada Midori) is a recognized illustrator for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). She began contributing to the Pokémon franchise in 1996, creating various materials and merchandise. Her work as a TCG card illustrator started around 2002 with the Aquapolis expansion. Harada is known for her calm, European-style landscapes in her artwork, a style referred to as 'Aire Verte' (meaning 'green space'). Beyond illustrating cards, she has contributed map image illustrations for many Pokémon games, specifically for Hoenn, Sinnoh, the Battle Frontier regions, and updated Kanto and Johto maps. She has also illustrated for children's storybooks and created artwork for movies and concept art. The number of cards she has illustrated varies across sources, ranging from 363 to approximately 401 cards. Some of her recent works include illustrations for cards like Cramorant, Oddish, Remoraid, and Pineco. Harada studied art at university and has created concept illustrations for the Distortion World in Pokémon Platinum.
