K. Hoshiba, also known as Kei Hoshiba (Japanese: 保志場慶), is a Japanese 3D graphic designer and illustrator. He has made significant contributions to early Pokémon video games and the artwork of various Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) cards. His work includes designing 3D models and environments for titles such as Pokémon Stadium, Pokémon Channel, and Pokémon Colosseum, where he served as 3D Modeling Director. Hoshiba is recognized for his TCG illustrations, particularly for the No. 2 Trainer and No. 3 Trainer promotional cards used as trophy cards at Pokémon TCG World Championships. He has illustrated numerous cards, including notable ones like Flygon, Salamence, and Zapdos ex, with a total of 13 to 23 unique cards attributed to him across various sources. His artistic style often incorporates 3D modeling techniques to enhance the visual impact of the Pokémon featured in the cards.
