About
Amelicart (ア・メリカ) is a Tokyo-based freelance illustrator and a visiting professor at Kyoto University of the Arts. His work spans multiple media beyond the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), including merchandise lines for Pokémon Center and video games like Pikmin Bloom and Dragon Quest Builders 2. Amelicart began illustrating official Pokémon TCG cards with the Crown Zenith expansion, contributing to cards such as Lost Vacuum, Rescue Carrier, Trekking Shoes, Ultra Ball, and Bibarel. He has illustrated a total of approximately 14 cards, including those in other sets like Squawkabilly ex and Mow Rotom. Notably, he received the Slowpoke Award at the Pokémon Card Game Illustration Grand Prix for his popular Slowpoke illustration.
